Giving Back — Our East Africa Mission

When you purchase from NRG Khave, you are not just bringing a piece of Bali into your home. You are helping change the life of a child in East Africa.

10% of every net sale made through NRG Khave is donated directly to orphanages across East Africa — communities personally supported by NRG Khave founder, Joshua Thistlewaite.

A Personal Commitment

For Joshua, this is not a distant cause. Every single day, he is in direct contact with the people on the ground in East Africa — the dedicated men and women running orphanages, the medical staff caring for sick children with limited resources, and the teachers doing everything in their power to give these kids a future.

These are not strangers. These are people Joshua speaks with daily. He knows their names. He knows the children in their care. He knows which orphanage is struggling to feed 75 kids this week, and which child needs urgent medical attention. The connection is real, constant, and deeply personal.

Joshua made a commitment: that whatever business he built, it would be a vehicle not just for personal success, but for meaningful, lasting change in the lives of those who need it most. NRG Khave is the fulfilment of that promise.

"I am in daily contact with the orphanages, the doctors, the teachers. I know exactly what these communities are going through. I am so excited to finally be in a position to contribute more and to help as many people as I possibly can during my lifetime. Every sale we make brings us one step closer to that."
— Joshua Thistlewaite, Founder, NRG Khave

The Reality These Children Face Every Day

The orphanages Joshua supports are each caring for up to 75 children — many of whom have lost one or both parents. The conditions are difficult and the needs are immediate and profound.

Food & Nutrition
Children are living in crowded homes with inadequate and unreliable food supplies. There is no buffer. When food runs short, children go without. One of Joshua's core goals is to purchase land where the orphanages can grow their own crops — creating a sustainable, year-round food source. Surplus produce will be sold at local community markets or shared with other struggling families and elderly members of the surrounding community.

Shelter & Living Conditions
Children are crowded into homes with little to no sleeping materials. Many sleep without mattresses. Basic personal care products — soap, toothbrushes, sanitary items — are in short supply. Plans are underway to purchase land and build larger, purpose-built homes that give every child the dignity of a proper bed, personal space, and the basic essentials of daily life.

Malaria & Disease Prevention
Malaria is a constant and life-threatening reality for children in these communities. Mosquito nets — one of the simplest and most effective tools in preventing malaria — are not available to many of the children. Providing nets, alongside education and preventative care, is a priority.

Medical Care
Medical needs extend far beyond basic treatment. Children require access to surgery, blood transfusions, and emergency care for life-threatening injuries and illness. The medical staff Joshua works with are doing extraordinary work under enormous pressure — often with limited equipment, supplies, and funding.

The facilities themselves are in urgent need of significant investment. Specialist equipment and medical-grade tools are lacking. Sanitisation supplies are critically inadequate. The clinics and treatment rooms require major renovation to meet even the most basic standards of safe medical care. These are not cosmetic improvements — they are the difference between life and death for children and community members who have no other option.

Critically, properly equipped and renovated facilities have the potential to generate meaningful additional revenue through expanded services — enabling the medical teams to bring in more trained staff, raise care standards, and reinvest directly back into the long-term health of the entire community. This is not just about treating illness today. It is about building a self-sustaining system of healthcare that will serve these communities for generations. NRG Khave donations are a direct investment in making that possible.

Education
School fees, uniforms, books and supplies are out of reach for many of these children without external support. Education is the single most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, and Joshua is committed to ensuring every child in these orphanages has access to it.

The Bigger Vision

Beyond immediate needs, Joshua's long-term vision is transformative:

  • Purchase land to build larger, safer, more dignified homes for the children
  • Establish community farms to grow crops for food security and community sharing
  • Provide mosquito nets to protect every child from malaria
  • Fund access to surgery, emergency medical care, and life-saving treatment
  • Renovate and fully equip medical facilities with specialist tools, medical-grade supplies and sanitisation
  • Expand medical capacity to bring in trained staff and reinvest in long-term community health
  • Ensure every child has a mattress, personal care products, and the basics of a dignified life
  • Support surrounding elderly and struggling families through excess food and community programs

What Comes Next

In 2027, Joshua plans to travel to East Africa to meet in person the children and communities he has supported daily from afar — to see their needs firsthand, deepen the relationships he has built, and explore how NRG Khave can offer even greater assistance as the business grows. For Joshua, this trip is not a milestone. It is a promise he intends to keep to every child he has come to know.

The more NRG Khave grows, the more we can give. Every piece you purchase today is part of making that vision a reality.

The Connection Between Bali & East Africa

At first glance, a Balinese orgonite workshop and an East African orphanage may seem worlds apart. But at the heart of both is the same truth: that human creativity, community, and care have the power to transform lives.

The artisans of Gianyar who pour their skill and spirit into every NRG Khave piece are part of the same vision as the children of East Africa who will benefit from every sale. We are all connected — and NRG Khave exists at the centre of that connection.

Every Purchase Matters

There is no minimum spend. There is no separate donation button. When you buy any NRG Khave piece — a pendant, a pyramid, a loose gemstone, or a custom order — 10% of the net sale goes directly to East Africa. Automatically. Every time.

Thank you for being part of this mission.
